GIF Bridge
Sends real animated GIFs, and animated stickers, to WhatsApp Web instead of a single frozen frame.
- TYPE
- Chrome extension
- STATUS
- Built, not published
- WORKS WITH
- Giphy, Tenor, Google Images
Why it exists
Copying a GIF into WhatsApp Web sends one flattened frame. No extension can change what the clipboard carries, so this one routes around it.
How it works
Right-click a GIF
Send to WhatsApp as GIF puts the real file in your open chat.
Or paste its link
Paste a GIF address into a chat and the animated file is swapped in.
Or make it a sticker
Converted to a 512×512 animated sticker under WhatsApp's 500 KB limit.
- Drops the file into the composer, you press send
- Never sends a message for you
